The Coral Tree grows in the garden of Indra. Rukmani and Satyiabhama quarrel for its flowers in the Purans and Krishna attempted to steal them. Its trifoliate leaves represent the trinity and the Portuguese aptly called them Folhas da Trindade.
We were not only struck by the scarlet beauty of Coral Tree in full blossom, but also chose to grow some in our Garden. The Trees have now grown to full splendour. The Coral Tree in full blossom in March and April, is not only a sight to behold, but also a veritable zoo attracting all kind of birds with its nectar filled flowers. No wonder we call our new home stay The Coral Tree. Come, share the joys of nature with us. The Coral Tree—Erythrina variegate–Pailionaceae
